This is a piece I did last year for a self portrait project. I decided to do it as a reflection of myself through others. Each little shelf contains two cast glass figures, each made of different glasses (wine bottle glass, crystal, cullet, etc.), a votive candle, and a small hand written note to the person I was trying to represent in one of the figures. The other figure in each pair is supposed to represent me.
a beautifully done installation, I wish I could see it in person. The glow effect with the glass figures is really nice, the notes sound like they are the extra push towards the personal. I wonder if the average person who didn't know you would understand the notes or did you make the a little cryptic?

They're not very cryptic. The notes are obviously to people I'm really close to, but you don't know whether they're my best friend now, or from kindergarten. The relationship isn't clearly defined in most of them.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
